This is the 83rd year for the races and the field included over 100 horses and several other events.

How To Enter:Create a video that is no more than 3 minutes in duration, relaying to us your story. Be as creative or straightforward as you like. Post the video on YouTube.

By submitting your video entry to the Edge Photography Studio “Now that's a Wedding” Contest, you are giving The Edge Photography Studio permission to use your submission online and in print to promote the Edge Photography and it's services..
The deadline for this contest is July 31st 2008. The winner will be announced August 7th 2008 on our blog http://theedge.bigfolioblog.com after we have spoken directly with the couple to confirm they are qualified to win.
Contest Details: The winner will receive the following:
Full day coverage of your wedding day by our lead photographer Don Harper, one of his associates and a lighting assistant.
A studio bridal portrait session prior to the wedding.
A Fine Art book containing selected wedding images designed by award winning graphic designer Ines Harper. Your art book will be designed for entry in international photography competitions.
A cd slide show of the best 300 plus images from your wedding day with music and permission to make copies for family and friends.
The digital negatives of all the images from your entire wedding deemed good by our photographers. This includes a digital catalog for easy viewing. Rights to make your own prints and distribute to family and friends, but not for sale or commercial media printing.
A wine and cheese party at our studio for family and friends to view your slide show, album proofs, etc. Usually 4 weeks after your wedding.
All of your wedding images in a password protected on-line gallery for 90 days after your wine and cheese party. Friends, family, and guests can order touched-up prints on-line.
Judging of entries will be by The Edge Photography Staff and their decision is final.
Bride will sign our standard wedding agreement with contest stipulations.
This package doesn't include parent albums or duplicate books, but they may be ordered at our standard prices. Print prices are our standard pricing for this package regarding prints ordered on-line.
Destination weddings (more than 100 miles from our Leesburg studio) may incur travel expenses.

The Edge Photography Studio Lighting Workshop
The Edge Photography Studio Lighting Workshop
We had a great time teaching our latest 2-day studio lighting workshop. Our students told us they were exhausted after working with the models and us. We covered lots of different aspects of studio photography including children to still-life set-ups. Even paint with light. Lots of lighting setups!
Here are some fun pictures from the weekend, plus a couple of serious images from two of our students Heather Clarke & Jon Miles. Thanks for letting us share these Jon & Heather! Heather is one of our repeat offenders having attended our Richard Warren workshop last November.
Our next workshop is next month and is a classic studio nude session for photographers.
We are located in Northern Virginia. and serve Maryland, Washington, D.C. plus the mid-Atlantic states from our studio located in historic Leesburg, Loudoun County Virginia. I Do Bridal Magazine for brides in Maryland, D.C. & Virginia
I Do Bridal Magazine Fall 2006.
Ines and I attended the Renaissance Bridal Show yesterday in Washington, D.C. and while there picked up a copy of the latest issue of I Do.
Although we don’t advertise in the magazine it was gratifying to see about a half dozen of our images used by many of our vendor friends for their advertising.
Event and wedding vendors in the area look to us for their photography. Shouldn’t you?
We will be exhibiting at the Patriot Center Bridal Expo on January 28th next to Hunt Country Celebrations on the main floor. Please come by and introduce yourselves; and see why brides are stepping over to The Edge.
